Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the desire to keep our members and audience safe, the Society has suspended it's in-person activities for the Concert Season 2020-2021. Because we are not able to rely on our major funding sources, including dues, program advertising and patronage, ticket sales, and fundraising activities, the Society is facing financial issues that will only be compounded as we await an end to the pandemic's presence.
To ensure we will have sufficient funds to finance those aspects of our operations we need to survive as an organization - including storage, insurance, postage, governance costs such as financial audits, information technology, and others - the HCS is launching our Funding Campaign for 2020-2021.
The Society has set a goal of $10,000, with the funds being used to continue our operations through the end of the 2020-2021 season, and providing us with the financial resources to start our 2021-2022 season strong and financially prepared to present our concert season.
The Campaign consists of a direct appeal to our members, supporters, and advertisers in the form of a mailed campaign letter. These selected recipients will receive their appeal letter during the first part of November 2020, and can send their contributions to the Society with the enclosed pre-paid envelope. The Campaign can also receive donations online through PayPal by following the link on this page.
The Harrisburg Choral Society is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation may be tax-deductable: Consult your tax professional.
We will include those donators on this page as a thank you, and we will also include them in our next printed program at the start of regular operations.
