Congratulations to Dr. Kyle D. Zeuch, who has been appointed as the 19th Music Director of the Harrisburg Choral Society. He will begin his tenure this summer, and will take the podium for our 2019-2020 concert season, replacing departing director Dr Jason Vodicka.
Dr. Zeuch is Director of Choral Activities at Lebanon Valley College, where he conducts the choirs and teaches courses in music education and choral conducting. He has previously been Choir Director at Rivera HS in Brownsville TX and Director of Children and Youth Choirs at Michigan State University. He has a music education degree from Capital University (Ohio), and a Masters and Doctorate of Music in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University. He is affiliated with the National Association for Music Education, the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, and the American Choral Directors Association.
Dr. Zeuch is excited to begin his term as Music Director: "The opportunity to conduct the Harrisburg Choral Society is truly an exciting venture. I look forward to working with the leadership and the singers to create meaningful performances for our audiences and a sense of unity that begins with us and extends into our community." He is looking forward to continuing the work of the Society: "I believe that we will use choral music as a vehicle to lift up our neighbors, spread significant messages, and enliven the human soul. I would like to invite anyone that shares a passion of singing to learn more about the organization so that we can continue to flourish for many years to come."
